Homeopathic Consultations

An initial consultation typically takes between 1½ and 2 hours. One or more shorter follow-up appointments are usually necessary to monitor your progress and these would normally be approximately 6 to 8 weeks apart.

In order to prescribe a remedy appropriate for you as an individual I need to know, in depth, about your current symptoms as well as details of previous illnesses or operations, lifestyle, work and family environment. I might ask about things which seem unrelated to your condition but this information helps to build a picture of you as a whole person. For example I may ask questions such as what foods or types of weather you prefer, if you generally feel hot or cold or medical history of members of your family. If there is anything you would prefer not to discuss, there is no pressure to do so.

Many patients find the consultation itself a very valuable part of the treatment as it allows time to explore your symptoms and how they affect you, but also to talk about other areas of your life which may be troubling you in some way.

Sometimes a homeopathic remedy is not the only treatment to consider. It may be that changes in diet, lifestyle, trying relaxation techniques or other therapies such as osteopathy may be of benefit.

Initial consultation lasting between 1½ and 2 hours - £60

Follow-up appointments of approximately 45-60 minutes - £40

Shorter consultations for active problems like hayfever, cystitis, colds and flu cost £20 for a 30 minute consultation
